Replacing Bikinis — A New Idea from Indonesia Helps Women Around the World

girl-439435_1280“Indonesia is designing for us a very beautiful one-piece beachwear, and I’m very happy with them… We like to work in the manner respectful to every country, and I cannot see why when you go to somebody’s country you should not behave respectfully.”

Julia Morley just helped women all over the world – at a beauty contest in Indonesia. She literally took out the parade of bikinis, a section which rates women on their beauty, bodies and presentation.  Instead, there will be respectful beachwear in the 2013 Miss World pageant in Jakarta.

Julia Morley just helped women all over the world – at a beauty contest in Indonesia. She literally took out the parade of bikinis, a section which rates women on their beauty, bodies and presentation.  Instead, there will be respectful beachwear in the 2013 Miss World pageant in Jakarta.

Let’s continue this trend.  Can we celebrate women’s beauty from the inside?

The true beauty of a woman is joy, enthusiasm, strength, quietude, graciousness.  It includes her ability to bring a community together, whether it be a country or her own family.  It reflects her tender care, or her forthrightness gogetterism.  A woman is as soft as a flower’s petal or the gentle, warm light of the dawning sun. She is also a pillar, unmovable and trustworthy.

Women’s Beauty is Real. If I were to launch a contest, I’d like it to be the “The Most “Beautiful Inside” Woman of The World.” Except it’s not a competition.  We all have it, so everyone gets to participate.  We celebrate each other.
