Marcus Aurelius on habitual thoughts

“Such as are your habitual thoughts, such also will your characterization of mind, for the soul is dyed for the thoughts.” – Marcus Aurelius

You can see the best in front of you…
Or a blockade.

You can choose cheerfulness
Or complaint.

You can live gratitude.
Or grumpiness.

Will will you choose today?
In Your mind?
In Your words?
In Your actions?

What you choose today affects you and your life. And your companion, your colleague, your community,  culture and country.

If 4 people think and speak positively… you build a loving home and familylaunch a startup, or build a more harmonious nation.

If 4 people think and speak negatively, they can divorce a family, tear down a company, or cause a country to crumble.

There are more than 6 significant points in our history where the United States almost didn’t make it.

In each case, our leaders, and everyday people – like you and me – banded together to think, speak and act positively.

They overcame argument to achieve agreement.

In other words, they built up a greater good, rather than to disagree and teardown… to nothingness.

How will you choose to affect the world today?

Through Cheerfulness, or complaint?

In Your mind?
In Your words?
In Your actions?

“Such as are your habitual thoughts, such also will be your characterization of mind.”
