The Classic Pamela Positive: “Death Is Nothing At All”

My beloved Oma was one of my best friends. And yet she is with me constantly. It’s not easy, it never will be, but it changes. I am learning to become more natural in my connection with her, even though I can’t see her. I can still feel her presence, I can still feel her love.

I spoke this from memory at her service, and I still love it to this day. Oma, I know you are “just around the corner.” I love you, Oma.

Death Is Nothing At All
Henry Scott Holland

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?

I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.

All is well.

Henry Scott Holland (1847 – 1918) was Regius Professor of Divinity at Oxford, one of Oxford’s oldest and most prestigious seats. He was also canon at St. Paul’s Cathedral.

darling our meeting is not a mistake, since i have repented iam not in to dating or indulge in immorality more over my pente costal background preaches against such in decent acts.so am not in to any relationship with any person exception of pamela.though i havea girl out side marriage and she is 15yrs old,so the issue of suspecting oma should not be a yardstick..in other words i want you to count it all joy when you fall in to various trials.knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.but let patience have its perfect work that you may be perfect and complete lacking nothing .every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and come down  from the father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.james i;2-3.i came from a polygamy family ,my deceased father has 5 wifes and my mother is his 1st wife,am also his 1st son but after his death my uncle contend with his property though i won the matter in the court to administer his estate but he make it difficult for  me to adminster the estate because lack of unity among our self and the family  was broken making me to go through untold hardship but i hold unto god to this date  believing god for restoration to this day.so i consider our experience the path of glory from god to take us through the valley of trials, ,afflictions, and pains to refine us to a distinguished ornament of pride, replenish beauty, state of happiness, gratification and contentment to reveal his glory given your back ground you shared with me. so am happy for who you are and what you pass through because the scriptures states that jesus descended before he ascended to led captivity captive that crowns him with the name that is above every other name.so be happy you will love to marry me.finally your grammar fluency, syntax and morphology is very accurate.i will hold you in my arms and give you a warm kiss.best wishes.
